About the Social & Behavioral Sciences Division

The Social & Behavioral Sciences Division at William Penn University focuses on the structure of individuals and groups that have been impacted by the organization of social systems and human behavior. Upon completion of its academic programs–ranging from history to psychology to sociology–graduates have acquired the ability to utilize the key concepts and theories of their chosen field, and they have gained knowledge of structured research techniques and practical experience.

The Division endeavors to promote the personal, social, and professional development of its students and cultivate the necessary skills, knowledge, and attitudes, which facilitate a broad and deep understanding of oneself and society within a larger personal, social, cultural, and historical context.
